Three years ago, suppliers gathered in the parking lot of Builder’s Warehouse in Northriding to display their products to contractors and independent builders. Today the event has grown into a large scale exhibition, staged at the Coca-Cola Dome, where contractors and suppliers alike come together to discuss building and construction solutions. As part of the world’s number one paint company, AkzoNobel, Dulux has supported this worthy initiative since its inception and this year, it was awarded the prestigious title of best stand in the platinum category.
“At Dulux, we value the opportunity to come face-to-face with the contractors and independent builders who use our quality products and solutions out in the field to take their projects to the next level. To be awarded the title of best stand is a great honour and means we communicated with our professional trade in a meaningful and impactful way,” says Dulux national key accounts controller, Jac Malherbe.
The criteria on which the stands were judged included visual appearance, functionality and alignment to the contractor’s needs. Dulux met these standards and more with an interactive brush-out display of vibrant and seasonal colours on 3D blocks, giving contractors a bird’s eye view of future trends.
New products in the Dulux stable, which include Smooth Over and Skimming Plaster, were also on display and painted onto different surfaces, so that visitors could witness first-hand the amazing effects of these quality variants. Roof tiles were painted as well, giving a tactile example of the quality, coverage and sheen of the brand’s highly regarded roof paints.
The brand’s recently launched the Flourish™, as part of its new iconography, and formed a vibrant backdrop to a stand that could only be described as visually impactful. The new packaging was on view with Gloss Enamel and Eggshell Enamel the undeniable stars of a colourful show.
The Builder’s Warehouse Trade Show was no doubt a more colourful exhibition thanks to the vibrant Dulux display. And contractors and independent builders were surely inspired to add Colour to their construction projects. Let’s Colour™ with Dulux.

Dulux is a great brand. I’ve just recently discovered and began using them, but their sustainability and look are fantastic. I’m not surprised they’re winning awards.
