Tile Africa has opened a new retail store in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town, which now functions as a central hub for its contracts division, Tile Africa Contracts, to service its clients.
The area draws many architects and contractors who are continuously looking for products to suit swimming pool, corporate, hospitality and residential projects. The new store will be able to provide customers access to many contracts ranges.
“The store features an architectural boardroom, technical product showroom and some Tile Africa Contracts staff will be permanently based in the store,” says Craig Irvine, national manager at Tile Africa Contracts.
The division works hand-in-hand with clients on projects, collaboratively selecting the products ideal for each space being created. Tile Africa Contracts serves the building industry from national corporate customers and architects to commercial and residential developers.
In the new store, the Tile Africa Contracts team will have access to a wide variety of products, enabling them to better plan tile design layouts and bathroom ware with customers and give them the best possible advice on the most suitable products to meet the specification.
“In the current environment, professional architects and to a lesser extent, contractors, find that technically correct information has become extremely important. With their parent company, Norcros SA, Tile Africa has at their disposal a source of technical information that they can call upon to address any queries from professionals. Contractors on the other hand, require a variety of products within various price ranges, all of which must be top quality, something Tile Africa has always been able to supply, meeting not only the requirements of contractors but also that of the industry in general,” says architectural professional and guest speaker at the store launch, Peter J Muller.
The Tile Africa Contracts Cape Town team has been involved, together with contractors, in the completion of projects such as the University of Cape Town Student Residence, various Mediclinic hospitals and the Reserve Bank building.
