GROHE highlights at the World Architecture Festival

Renowned architecture event in Singapore

Discover innovative products and projects, draw fresh inspiration and share forward-looking insights – this is what the World Architecture Festival (WAF) was about. Taking place from October 2 to 4 2013, architects and designers from all over the globe will converged on Singapore to attend the world’s largest architecture event. Founded in 2008, WAF opened its doors to the public for the sixth time. As in the previous year, the exceptional Marina Bay Sands Hotel provided the perfect setting for the professional conference.  WAF founding member and sponsor, GROHE presented highlights from its GROHE SPA® range alongside its GROHE Blue® and GROHE Red® kitchen faucets.

“Being a founding member of the World Architecture Festival, we are particularly gratified to see that WAF has emerged as an important event for the global architecture community over the past six years,” says Jan Peter Tewes, Senior Vice President Global Marketing Grohe AG. “This year we once again used the event as a platform for presenting attractive innovations from our GROHE range to an international professional audience. In addition, we will also resumed our role as sponsor of WAF’s most important award “World Building of the Year 2013”, which celebrates a forward-looking design idea.”

A broad programme of presentations, workshops and panels makes WAF a much sought after event for international architects. Apart from high-profile speakers such as American architect and architectural theorist Charles Jencks and Japanese architect and university lecturer Sou Fujimoto, the festival’s lure is also very much due to its diversified awards programme offering numerous coveted prizes.

GROHE innovations for private spas

GROHE is happy to use WAF as a high-profile platform for the presentation of the GROHE Grandera™ design collection recently added to its GROHE SPA® range. This line of premium faucets blends timeless aesthetics with nostalgic touches while affirming a modern sensibility at the same time. Crafted and finished to perfection and fulfilling contemporary desires for luxury, lastingness and pure beauty, it occupies a special place in today’s bathroom universe. The design blends flowing feminine forms with clearly designed squares and edges. An extensive array of models and the choice between chrome and chrome/gold variants mean that GROHE Grandera™ offers the greatest possible flexibility when it comes to outfitting luxurious spa bathrooms.

As for the kitchen, GROHE is presented its innovative GROHE Blue® and GROHE Red® water systems. While GROHE Blue® supplies freshly filtered and chilled water, GROHE Red® allows to draw boiling hot water straight from the faucet – two convenient household helpers which put an end to toiling with heavy bottle packs and waiting for the water in the kettle to reach boiling point. To give WAF attendees a taste of the potential offered by these modern water fittings, refreshing drinks of water and freshly brewed herbal teas were served at the GROHE stand.

For the benefit of all those who were unable to travel to Singapore, numerous videos will be posted on the GROHE website and on Youtube.
