Neolith announces the upcoming launch of a fourth production line to meet a rapid increase in global demand for the brand’s Sintered Stone Surfaces, for both residential and commercial projects.
The new line, based at Neolith’s headquarters in Castellon, Spain, will commence operation in early 2018 and will almost double production capabilities, focusing on 3mm and 6mm thicknesses in 3600mm x 1200mm, 3200mm x 1500mm, 2600mm x 1200mm and 2600mm x 1500mm. It will also increase energy efficiency in the manufacturing process.
The fourth line, which incorporates a ground-breaking two storey kiln, is result of continual investment into research and development. It ensures Neolith remains ahead of the industry curve and able to effectively respond to a continually-growing appetite for its surfaces (in 2017 TheSize, Neolith’s manufacturer, registered revenue of over €100 million from sales).
Neolith’s Mar Esteve Cortes comments: “A fourth production line is a hugely significant step for us. Not only is it a reflection of the brand’s rapid growth over the last two years, but it positions us to exponentially expand our share within this highly-competitive sector. We are now the only company in our sector to have five kilns fully devoted to Sintered Stone. This offers us essential flexibility to deal with more short-lead enquiries, and guarantees the capacity to deliver a larger number of confirmed projects.
“Furthermore, with four new surfaces, two new finishes and 15 further 20mm slabs introduced for 2018, this new line ensures we can process the large variety of colour-specific order processed at any one time.”
An increase in manufacturing capacity will be complemented by further investment into Neolith’s global retail presence, tightening the logistical pipeline with new showrooms confirmed for major international cities and hubs including: Tokyo (JP), Madrid (ES) and Ramallah (PS) with three further international sites planned over the coming year.
Esteve Cortes adds: “From a marketing perspective, having the ability to directly engage and interact with our audience is crucial to developing new business and nurturing existing relationships. As such, a major aspect of our 2018 business plan has been to invest in our presence in existing markets and also explore emergent ones. Neolith showrooms offer the best way to introduce and educate architects and specifiers, allowing them to discover how they can bring their interior or exterior design visions to life and discuss how to work with the material efficiently and effectively.”
