PLEXIGLAS has made its first appearance under the Röhm brand name, premiering this past September at FESPA Africa and Sign Africa.

In mid-September, PLEXIGLAS® made its first appearance under the Röhm brand name at two trade shows in Johannesburg, South Africa: FESPA Africa and Sign Africa. The exhibitions are considered to be the signage industry’s most prestigious events in the region, presenting products not only for large-scale digital and screen printing, but also for clothing design and textile printing. Some 100 exhibitors were present at this year’s events, introducing the roughly 7 000 visitors to the latest developments in modern technology, applications, and materials.

In addition to establishing contacts, the aim of the PLEXIGLAS® presentation was also to use concrete application examples as a way of introducing functional products to the well-developed South African market. PLEXIGLAS® was demonstrated in furnishings, tube lighting, wall panels, and signage. Visitors appeared impressed by the creative freedom that the material offers and by the scope of the product portfolio. Live demos provided opportunities for discussing manufacturing and processing techniques in greater detail.

The furnishings presented at the trade shows will be used in the future at Röhm’s offices in Elandsfontein, South Africa. This facility will host regular customer training events geared toward specific industries and aimed at continuing to intensify the presence of the PLEXIGLAS® brand as the preferred acrylic product on the South African market.
