Florim Stone now available in SA

Stronger than quartz and impervious to stains, Florim Stone, an elegant sintered stone, is now available at The Granite Company.
Sintering is the process by which heat and compression convert powder to hard mass. While we see this process in nature in the creation of granite, sintered stone mimics this process, but comprises different materials, which results in a stronger, non-porous slab engineered to last.
“This is a revolutionary technology,” said Keith Endean, director of The Granite Company. “We are proud to offer large-format slabs, 6 and 12mm thick, in beautiful colours to the South African market. We also have various finishes available – matte, glossy or textured – to suit any design need.”
Italian manufacturers Florim Stone are true innovators in the industry, bringing style together with clever engineering. With this extraordinary technology, tiles and grouting are a thing of the past. This highly versatile product can be used across the home, both in and outdoors; however, its real point of difference is its solution for the kitchen – an invisible hob. Florim Stone’s unique technology uses specialised heat dissipation circles placed underneath the stone, creating a completely invisible induction system.
“We are really excited about working with Florim Stone as they really care when it comes to sustainability,” Endean continued. “The product is made using 100% recycled water as well as self-generated solar energy to power their factories. It is also certified as a Benefit Corporation – the only company to attain this within the sector.”
Additionally, Florim Stone is dedicated to the product’s longevity, and utilise specialised technical materials to ensure correct installation every time, as well as a full-time technician available to answer any customer questions.
