Celebrating complexity in design at LiGHT25

LiGHT25 at the LiGHT Expo London (19-20 November 2025) is more than a typical trade show – it’s a celebration of innovation, design and collaboration in lighting. Bringing together leading professionals, design aficionados, architects and innovators, LiGHT25 transforms how we perceive light’s role in the built world.
From its over 200 exhibiting brands to its dynamic networking opportunities, LiGHT25 takes visitors beyond products and into thought-provoking discussions. At the heart of the event is a driving challenge: how can we make lighting design more inclusive, sustainable and impactful on every level?
An experiential highlight: The Re:Vision installation
One of the event’s most anticipated highlights is Re:Vision, a sensory experience crafted by Speirs Major in collaboration with formalighting. Inspired by the Ishihara colour vision tests, Re:Vision explores how humans and other species perceive artificial light. Through dynamic lighting patterns and colour manipulation, it not only addresses inclusivity for individuals with colour blindness or visual impairments but pushes attendees to imagine lighting that considers the ecological and sensory needs of all species.
Beyond its artistic merit, Re:Vision sparks industry-wide dialogue: How can we create lighting for an increasingly diverse and shared world?
Sustainability in the spotlight
LiGHT25 layers its inspirational aesthetic with critical conversations about ecological responsibility. Artificial lighting is both a marvel and a disruptor, contributing to biodiversity loss and shaping our urban ecosystems. Attendees are encouraged to rethink lighting’s role in design and go beyond human utility towards ecological compatibility.
This focus on sustainability resonates deeply as the lighting industry tackles challenges such as:
- Reducing artificial light pollution
- Creating adaptive technologies to minimise ecological impact
- Infusing artistic storytelling into sustainable design solutions
