The BMI Coverland brand has become synonymous with roofing in South Africa over its 70+ years of existence. It has become a source of trust and quality.

As a brand, BMI Coverland knows that from its core of providing shelter and protection it also provides a reflection of individual legacy, growth and personal aspiration.

BMI Coverland aims to play an active role in the upliftment of people in its communities through providing them with opportunities to empower themselves and those around them, and positively impacting their livelihoods by establishing careers within the roofing sector.

Building a sustainable roofing industry in South Africa requires us to formalise the skills in the roofing industry and provide roofers with an opportunity to grow and progress their careers. It is with this aim that the BMI Coverland Roofing Academy was created. Based in Roodepoort and Polokwane, the Roofing Academy offers the following two SAQA accredited courses:

• National Certificate: Waterproof and Roof Repair, NQF 2
• National Certificate: Timber Roof Erecting, NQF 3

The training is broken up into theory and practical components, which ensures that trainees leave with the relevant experience to put their newly learnt skills into practice. BMI Coverland is in the fortunate position to leverage the training and research developed in Germany, the UK and France, ensuring that we provide quality training courses to uplift roofers, installers and communities.
